Overall, in the first half of the year, footfall experienced a drop only in January, possibly continuing the downward trend observed in 2022. From February till July, footfall increased, surpassing the corresponding month in 2022. However, July onwards sees the effects of the Cost-of-Living Crisis result in a downward trend of footfall once again. Whilst still outperforming 2022 for the most part of the year, a big downturn in the final quarter led to an overall reduction compared to 2022 national footfall.
